Funeral service for Ruth Livingston,”Mama Ruth”, 88, will be Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Bill Stone and Bro. Jeremy Oden officiating and Bro. Gary Driver giving the closing prayer and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Eva Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 4, 2015 from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mrs. Livingston died on Saturday, August 1, 2015 at Huntsville Hospital. She was born May 16, 1927, in Morgan County to Calvin Lewis Millwood and Rosa McDaniel Millwood. She was the Center Manager for NARCOG and the Eva Community Center Manager until her retirement. She loved working for and with the Senior Citizen’s. She had a strong work ethic and worked full time until the age of 85. She loved and took great pride in her her yard, and loved setting up Christmas lights and inflatables for the community and especially the children to enjoy. She especially loved her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Roamer Lee Livingston, a son: Jerry Lee Livingston, a brother: Jimmy Millwood and a former son-in-law: John Richard Harvey.
In lieu of flowers: Family requests that memorial donations be made to the Eva Library.
