Graveside services for Mrs. Ruth Hooper Flake, age 84, are scheduled for 1 PM, Saturday, September 28, 2013 at Parkers Crossroads Cemetery. Pafford Funeral Home of Lexington is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Flake passed away Wednesday at her home in Louisiana. She was born January 2, 1929 in Blytheville, Arkansas to the late Talmadge Dewitt Hooper and Mary Mundy Hooper. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Flake was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Bennie G. Flake and her siblings, Margaret Hooper Baumgartner, Agnes Hooper McRae, Charles Hooper, Irma Hooper Hulet, Carlton Hooper, and Sue Hooper Lowry. Survivors include her four sons, William Stuart (Linda) Flake of Russellville, AR, Michael Andrew Flake of Pineville, LA, Barrett Adams (Kathy) Flake of London, England, and John Christopher (Shirley) Flake of Baton Rouge, LA; her three daughters, Mary Carol (Carlos) Flores of Tegucigalpa, Honduras, Deborah Ruth (Alan) Fronabarger of Buna, TX, and Emily Frances (Charles) Smith of New Roads, LA; one sister, Patsy (Bicy) Harland of Texarkana, AR; eighteen grandchildren; and nineteen great grandchildren.
