Ruth Hazel Darnell age 91 of Athens, passed away Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at her residence. Mrs. Darnell was born December 31, 1921 in Union Town KY to Albert Harrison Roof and Mary Ida Buckman Roof.
Services will be Saturday, October 12, 2013 10:00 a.m., at Lindsay Lane Baptist Church. The body will lie in state from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Visitation will be Friday, October 11, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Indiana.
Mrs. Darnell was a member of Christ Worship Center in Harvest, AL. She was a member of the VFW and the American Legion.
Preceded in death by her husband, Charles Vesco Darnell; daughter, Sue Williams.
Survived by two daughters, Pan Reynolds and husband, Danny of Athens, AL and Teresa Pointer and husband, Kelly of Wheatfield, IN; son, Danny Darnell and wife, Cathy.
