Ruth Ford Stone, 84, of Russellville, passed away Friday, December 19, 2014, at Brentwood Assisted Living in Muscle Shoals.
Mrs. Stone was a lifelong resident of Franklin County, a homemaker and a member of Isbell Church of Christ.
The funeral service will be Monday, December 22, 2014, at 2:00 p.m., at Pinkard Funeral Home Chapel, Russellville, with George Hutto officiating. Burial will be in Franklin Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 12:00 noon until service time.
Survivors include husband, Weldon Stone; children, William L. Stone (Sandra), and Alice DeFoor (Steve); brother, Roy Grissom; sisters, Paulette Todd and Genell Hayes; grandchildren, Kevin Stone (Tia), and Kyle DeFoor (Melissa); great-grandchildren, Raney and Shaler Stone; several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Stone, Kyle DeFoor, Michael Grissom, Tim Jackson, Raymond Horton and Martin Gault.
She was preceded in death by parents, Oscar and Clara Grissom; brothers, Howard and Spruell Grissom; and sister, Dorothy Jackson.
The family wishes to express special appreciation to the Brentwood Assisted Living staff and to Hospice of North Alabama.
