Ruth Evelyn Hughes, age 90 of Huntsville passed away Tues- day, June 6, 2017. Mrs. Hughes was born in Marion, KY. She was a registered nurse and retired from Huntsville Hospital. She was a mem- ber of Holmes Street United Methodist Church. She is survived by two sons Gerald Richard Hughes and wife Barbara, and Patrick James Hughes and wife Siw; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two sisters Geraldine Beavers and Shirley Sue Small of Marion, KY. Mrs. Hughes was preceded in death by her husband James Richard Hughes, her daughter Suzanne Thomson, and her son Barry Shannon Hughes. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m., Sunday, June 11, 2017, at Holmes Street United Methodist Church, with a memorial service immediately following at 2:00 p.m. Berryhill Funeral Home is assisting the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Holmes Street United Methodist Church.
