Ruth Ethel Pearsall Hosmer Ruth Ethel Pearsall Hosmer of Jacksonville, Alabama. Ruth passed away peacefully in her daughter’s home with her family around her on June 21, 2022 at 2:43 am.
Mrs. Hosmer had lived in Jacksonville since 1986. She was preceded in death by her husband David in 2019 and a son Glenn in 1969. They raised their family in NJ and then moved to Alabama. Ruth was an artist with a business in doll making. Her name was DollyRuth. She made thousands of dolls from Raggedy Ann’s and Andy’s to her own unique creations before retiring when she reached her 80’s and succumbed to Parkinson’s disease and dementia and was no longer able to sew. She is survived by her sister Emily Frintner of Jacksonville, her brother Harold Pearsall of Utah, her children Dale of Pennsylvania, daughter Wendy Snellen of Jacksonville, Emmy Hengeveld of Wellington, Chris Hosmer of Jacksonville, and Russ Hosmer of Louisiana and many grandchildren and great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She lived well and was well loved!
