Ruth Ellner Sneed Jones, born June 3, 1930, in Decatur, Alabama, died May 31, 2019, at NHC in Moulton, Alabama. A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, June 5, 2019, at 11 AM at First Christian Church, Pastor Mickey Johnson officiating. Visitation will begin at 10 AM in the sanctuary.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents L. J. and Louise Sneed, and her husband, Maurice Jones. She is survived by two daughters, Cynthia Jones (Gordon Ellis) and Theresa Jones (Scott Marshall). A 1948 graduate of Riverside High School, she earned an Associates Degree from Calhoun Community College. She worked for many years as the medical records librarian at Medical Park Convalescent Center and then continued with a consulting career. Ruth loved her family, her friends, and her church, where she enjoyed bible study, teaching Sunday School, and participating in the church community for over 60 years.
