Ruth Burk Bollinger, age 88, of Springfield, passed away Thursday, August 4, 2022 at NHC Healthcare. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at 1pm in the chapel of the Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield. Burial will follow in the Springfield Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, August 9, 2022 from 4-8pm and again on Wednesday from 10am until the hour of service at 1pm.
Mrs. Bollinger was born August 8, 1933 in Robertson County to the late Herschel Harvey and Willie Bell Parker Burk. She worked in the insurance industry and was a member of the Owens Chapel United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents Mrs. Bollinger is preceded in death by her husband, Sheriff Gene Bollinger and her sister, Betty Jean Adams. Mrs. Bollinger is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Beverly Yvonne Bollinger Webster and Tony Webster; grandchildren, Gena Ruth (Kenneth) Hannah and Michael Anthony Webster; and great-granddaughter, Rayleigh Jene Hannah.
