Beloved wife and mother, Ruth Ann Myers (nee Moyer), age 85 passed on July 20, 2026, from this world into eternity and rests in the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ who she knew and followed from a very young age. She was preceded in death by her father Elwood Harrington Moyer, mother Florence Moyer (nee Savin), and sister Nancy Fuller.
She is survived by her husband of almost 60 years, Russell John Myers, Sr., her four children, Linda Ruth Gilmore (Jerry), Russell John Myers, Jr., Diana Kristin Gross (Dan), and Vicki Lee Fults (Bobby). She was known and loved as “Nanny” by eight grandchildren; John Gilmore, Joshua Gilmore, Ashley Tipton, Brittany Honeycutt, Lauren Wilenski, Jake Wilenski, Kristin Gross, and Rhys Myers. She also had nine great grandchildren; Micah, Joel, Sam, Jaxton, Lillian, Spencer, Scarlett, Elena, and Amelia.
Also known as Ruthie to her family and friends, she always had a servant’s heart, was always available for advice, helped teach generations of children, worked in retirement communities caring for residents in need, and always made sure her hair was done and make-up and lipstick was applied. She was also one who loved to wear sunglasses whether inside or outside, in light or darkness— referred to as “Hollywood” in those moments. And when she would have her photograph taken, she rarely looked straight into the camera.
Mom/Nanny/Ruthie will be greatly missed by friends and family alike. She didn’t want a funeral or memorial service but just that her family would get together to honor her and celebrate her life.
