Ruth Ann Moss, age 46, of Athens, Alabama died Sunday, November 2, 2025 at her residence. She was born January 15, 1979 to Kenneth Wayne Payne and Josephine Kyle Payne in Decatur, Alabama.
Services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 6th at Spry Funeral Home officiated by Melvin Mears with interment following at Sandlin Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Chris Mears, C.J. Mears, Cody Mears, Matt Kyle, Shawn DeFoe, and Adam Kyle. Visitation will be 12:00 p.m. Thursday, November 6th at Spry Funeral Home.
Mrs Moss is survived by her husband, Tony Moss of Athens, sons, John Kyle, Bobby Moss, and Anthony Moss all of Athens, daughter, Tiffany Speakman of Athens, brothers Matt Kyle of Athens, Shawn DeFoe of Athens, Derrick DeFoe of Athens, Kenny Payne of McKenzie, Tennessee, Timmy Payne of McKenzie, David Puckett of McKenzie, Sisters, Rebbecca Smith of Athens, Lesile DeFoe of Athens, and Linda Staggs of McKenzie, four grandchildren and several Aunts and Uncles, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Kennethy Payne, mother Josephine DeFoe, granddaughter, Aliva Moss, and cousin, Josh McLemore.
