  Ruth Ann Baugus Profile PhotoRuth Ann Baugus was born on July 4, 1934, in Hardin County, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Orville Harper and Dora Ann Young Robinson.

On June 16, 1951, Ruth Ann was united in marriage to Melvin N. Baugus, who preceded his wife in death on October 12, 2003.

Ruth Ann was a member of Campground Methodist Church, where she served as a piano player. She was also a member of the Whites Demonstration Club. Ruth Ann worked at Magic Mart for 12 years until she retired, where she then stayed home to watch her grandchildren. For many years, Ruth Ann enjoyed traveling with Boone Creek Bluegrass. In her spare time, she liked to sing and play guitar. She also had a green thumb and loved her flowers. Above all, Ruth Ann loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and enjoyed going to family cookouts.

Ruth Ann Baugus departed this life on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, in Savannah, Tennessee, at the age of 91 years, 9 months, and 4 days.

She is survived by her children, Kathy Bain, Jannice Hamilton (Gary), and Scottie Baugus (Janice); grandchildren, Jeremy Bain, Carrie Higginbotham (Mike), Elizabeth Phillips (Charles), Brian Baugus (Jenny), and Matthew Baugus; great granchildren, Mason Phillips, Lila Higginbotham, Lincoln Higginbotham, Olivia Baugus, and Owen Baugus; and great great grandchild, Elizabeth Roseann Phillips.

In addition to her husband and her parents, Ruth Ann was preceded in death by her sister, Zella Beckham; brothers, Orville D. Robinson, James Robinson, Robert Earl Robinson, and Joe Robinson; and son-in-law, Jimmy Neal Bain.
