Ruth Aline Talley Denton, 92, of Florence, died on Monday, May 6, 2019. Visitation will be at Colbert Memorial Chapel today, May 9, 2019 from 1 to 1:45 p.m. A graveside service will follow at 2 p.m. in Colbert Memorial Gardens. Rev. Ron McKay will officiate the service.
Ruth was a member of The Masonic Eastern Star and a member of First Methodist Church of Florence. She retired from Reynolds Alloys after 32 years.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Perry E. Denton; parents, Ellie and Edna Talley; sisters, Gladys Todd and Ella Sprague; and brother, William D. Talley.
She is survived by her husband, Andrew Farris; brothers, Claude Talley and Vernon Talley; sister, Mae Yarbrough; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Dan Talley, Chad Talley, Jimmy Carpenter, Jamie Carpenter, Drew Carpenter and Greg Sprague.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice.
