Ruth Ada Lofton, 90, died Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at her residence. She was born in Vina, AL to Hosie and Dorothy Hall Upton. She was a homemaker and a faithful member of Cornerstone Church of God.
Services will be Saturday, June 24, 3 p.m. Cornerstone Church of God, Red Bay, AL with Bro. Rick Bradley officiating. Burial will be in Halltown Cemetery, Vina, AL. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by her son- Jesse Hester (Charlotte), 4- Grandchildren- Kim Brazil (Matt), Jeannie Stanford (Jesse), Mandy Melson (Jeremy), Milissa Sipe (Gary), 13- Great-Grandchildren- Brett McDowell, Hailey Hall, Skylar Brazil, Nicholas Massey, Isabella Massey, Sera Massey, Kylah Melson, Jaxton Melson, Cory Sipe, Amber Sipe, Allie Hester, Cameron Hester, Kingston Hester, 3- Great-Great-Grandchildren- Phinley McDowell, Kollier McDowell, Ameila Barnitz, 1- Sister- Majorie Barksdale, ½ Sister- Joyce and a host of Nieces and Nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Nathan Lofton, Son- Kenny Hester, Sister- Wanda Anderson, Grandson- Brad Hester
Pallbearers will be Alton Barksdale, Brett McDowell, Skylar Brazil, Jeremy Melson, Jesse Stanford, Larry Gilliland.
Visitation will be Saturday, June 24, 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. at Cornerstone Church of God, Red Bay, AL.
