Ashton Octavio Rojas, 17, passed away on Sunday, June 25, 2023 at the Red Bay Hospital. He graduated this year from Belmont High School. He received a tennis scholarship from Northeast Mississippi Community College where he would begin his dream of becoming a lawyer. He worked as a cook at Sonic in Belmont. He was an ambitious son, charismatic brother and was known as Uncle Ashton by his nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Thursday, June 29, 2 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Chapel, Belmont, MS with River Ford, Randy Satterfield and Phillip Farris officiating. Burial will be in Dennis Memory Gardens. Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS will be in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by his father, Hector Rojas (Norma); his mother, Diana Rojas Headrick; brothers and sisters, Jacob Hunt, Malina Hunt, Dominic Rojas and Isabel Rojas; nieces and nephews, Damian, Dominic, Kiley, Hayes Grace and Cayden; grandparents, Thomas and Isabel Rojas and Ken and Fay Headrick and uncles and aunts, Randy and Maja Headrick, Randy and Sherry Harbor, John Roberson and Terri Headrick.
Pallbearers will be Jacob Hunt, Tyler Wilmeth, Dominic Rojas, Ezekial Triplett, Aaireyon Hicks Jr. and Landon Sappington.
Visitation will be Thursday, June 29, 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS.
