Russellville Airport Celebrates Armed Forces Day With Open House And Fly In

blue diamondRUSSELLVILLE-Blue Diamond Aviation and Russellville Airport Authority will hold an open house and fly in to celebrate Armed Forces Day.  The event will take place on  Saturday, May 17th from 10:00 am

until 5:00 pm the event is free and open to the public. The airport is located 13365 Highway 243 in Russellville, Alabama.

There will be BBQ and posting of the colors a presentation by Warren Trest co-author of the book “Wings of Denial” following the presentation there will be a book signing in the main hanger..  There will also be a 50/50 raffle along with plane rides (Discovery Flights) from 10 am until 1 pm and again from 3 pm until 5 pm the cost is $20.00 for a 15 minute Discovery Flight.

2:25 – Retirement of the Colors

 

2:35 – Drawing 50/50 Raffle

 

2:40 – Book signing (in main hangar)

 

5:00 – Gates Closed

 

Planes rides (Discovery Flights) available from 10 – 1 & 3-5 $20 per person – 15minute Discovery flight
