Russell Ezell Stults , Iron City, TN, was born November 14, 1939 in Wayne County, TN, the son of the late Dewey Major and Jewell Nancy Hanback Stults.
Mr. Stults, a retired line worker at Murray Ohio manufacturing, was a member of the Scotts Chapel Freewill Baptist Church, Cypress Inn, Tennessee, a member of the Lawrence County Classic Car Club, the St. Joseph Senior Citizens and Penn State Fire Department, Mishawaka, IN.
He departed this life Friday, March 10, 2017 at Wayne Medical Center, Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 77 Years, 3 Months, 24Days.
He is survived by his wife whom he married November 24, 1956, Ellen Mae Rigley Stults, Iron City, TN; sons, Russell Mark Stults, wife, Miriam, Goshen, IN, Mathew Wayne Stults, wife, Ellen, Cypress Inn, TN; daughters, Jeanith Ellen Sherrill, husband, Junior, Lutts, TN, Tammy Lynn Thompson, husband, Joe, Madison, TN; grandchildren, Michele Ballard, Rusty and Shane Sherrill, Josua Thompson, Laporsha Simbeck, Jolene Larravide, Tylan and Hayden Stults and Mandy Mills; great-grandchildren, Rachael and Samantha Ballard, Lexie Larravide, Sophia Mills, McKensie and Trenton Simbeck, Maliyah Thompson, Cooper Stults and Hayden Sherrill; great-great-granddaughter, Hollie Ballard; brothers, Ellis Stults, Iron City, TN, Jimmy Stults, Johnson City, TN; a sister, Judy Bates, husband, Tommy, Summertown, TN; nieces and nephews. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Ledford and Jerry Stults and sisters, Vinnie Skaggs, Freda Joo, Sarah Ellen Holt, Pauline West and Syble Banks.
Services will be Sunday, March 12, 2017 at 3:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors chapel, Collinwood, Tennessee, with John E. Banks and Junior Overstreet officiating. Burial will follow in Railroad Cemetery, Iron City, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, directing. Pallbearers will be Rusty and Shane Sherrill, Jessie Simbeck, Tylan and Hayden Stults and Joshua Thompson.
Visitation will be Saturday, March 11, 2017 from 5 pm to 9 pm and Sunday, March 12, 2017 from noon to service time at the funeral home.
