Russell E. Anderson Sr., 61, passed away Thursday, April 20, 2017 in his residence.
Born on February 12, 1956 in St. Joseph, Michigan, he was the son of the late Charles and Ava (Austin) Anderson. Russell retired after 20 years serving in the United States Navy as an E-9 Master Chief.
Surviving him is a son, Russell E. Anderson Jr., Logansport; granddaughter, Aisha K. Anderson, Walton, Indiana; ex-wife, Martha J. Anderson, Sheffield, Alabama; stepsons, Brian Burgess, Shane Nichols, Eric Nichols, all of Sheffield, Alabama; stepdaughter, Carrie Nichols, Logansport; stepgrandchildren, Eric Nichols Jr., Cody Nichols, Brittney Burgess, and Aaron Burgess; sister, Charlene Anderson, St. Joseph, Michigan; and a brother, Josh Anderson, Logansport, Indiana.
There will be no public services. A private burial at sea will be conducted at a later date.
Gundrum Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
