Russell Alan Gordon, 66, passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at NMMC-Tupelo, MS. Born on June 22, 1959, in Warren, MI to James Huston and Gladys Mae Elrod Gordon, he was a loving family man. Russell enjoyed driving his semi and was a retired long haul truck driver for over 30 years. He was a New Orleans Saints fan and an avid gun collector. He spent many days outside tinkering, and also enjoyed cooking, hunting, and fishing. Most importantly, he loved his grandchildren.
Russell is survived by his wife, Irene Hester Gordon, his children, Tammy Huggins (Jared), Cori Price (Corey), Penny Gordon (David), David McGloflin (Lisa), Daniel McGloflin (Katie), and Matt McGloflin (Sophia), his grandchildren, Kaden, Huston, Addison, Marie, Lizzy, Jerri, Landen, Samantha, DJ, Tiffeny, Eric, Aron, Josh, Katie Beth, Miranda, and MJ, his 32 great grandchildren, his two brothers, Jim Gordon (Sue) and Eddie Gordon (Judith), and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Huston and Gladys Mae Elrod Gordon, his granddaughter, Andrea Arnold, and his sister, Nina Bass.
Funeral Services will be held at 2PM on Friday, April 17, 2026, at Tutor Memorial Funeral Home in Pontotoc with visitation beginning at 12PM. Bro. Jimmy Daniels will officiate. Burial will follow in Eddington Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jaylin Slack, Cayden and Huston Hicks, David, Daniel, Matt, and Josh McGloflin. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jared and Landen Huggins, and Elijah and MJ McGloflin.
