Reverend Rufus Warren Wilson Profile PhotoReverend Rufus Warren Wilson, age 74 of Logan, passed away Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

 

He was born November 12, 1949 in Meridian, Mississippi to Rufus and Dorothy Brewster Wilson. Brother Warren faithfully served the Baptist Church for over 43 years in various capacities in the ministry, with his loving wife of 54 years, Susan, by his side. He had a love for children especially and believed that it was important to keep them in church. When he wasn’t serving in ministry somewhere, he enjoyed fishing and building projects.

 

Visitation will be Monday, December 11, 2023 from 12:00 Noon – 2:00 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Addison, where the service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be at Spring Hill Cemetery in Cullman. Brother Dennis Trimble will officiate.

 

Brother Warren is survived by his wife, Susan Wilson; son, Donald Wilson; daughter, Jaime (Troy) Higgins; sister, Alicia Lawrence; special aunt and uncle Kate and Nelson Wilson; granddaughters, Ashley (Glenn) Garmon and Taylor Wilson; grandson, Kell (Cass) Wilson; great granddaughters, Jaimelynn Garmon and Alita Garmon; and special friend, Adrienne Garlen.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rufus Daryl Wilson and Dorathy Brewster; son, Thomas Thearon Wilson; and grandparents, Vivian and Obie Warren Brewster.
