Rufus Hermon Bohannon Jr., 85, of Alamo, formally of Ripley, passed away Monday, November 2 at his residence. Visitation for Mr. Bohannon will be 10 am Friday, November 6, with service to follow at 11:00, at Garner Funeral Home in Ripley.
Mr. Bohannon was a retired finish carpenter.
He was preceded in death by his wife Kay Bohannon, his mother, Mattie Eskridge, his father, Rufus Herman Sr. He is survived by two daughters, Amy Potter and Stacey Simpkins, both of California; sons, Ray Scott of Southaven, MS and Billy Scott of Longview, TX; a sister, Barbara Yager of Memphis, many grandchildren and great grandchildren, three nieces and one nephew. Mr. Bohannon spent the last year of his life with his beloved granddaughter, Billie Jean (BJ) and Doug.
