Ruby May Newton, age 92, of Leoma, TN passed away Sunday, December 11, 2016 at Saint Thomas West Hospital in Nashville, TN. She was a native of Lawrence County, TN, retired secretary from the Lawrence County Agricultural Extension Service, and a member of Antioch United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Bessie Clark Bassham; her husband, Royce Newton; and one sister, Wilma Littrell.

Nephew, Jeff Littrell; Niece, Jennifer Leighton; and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 11:00 AM Wednesday, December 14, 2016. Interment will follow at Bonnertown Cemetery in Bonnertown, TN. Family suggests memorials be made to Antioch United Methodist Church.
