Visitation will be Wednesday, February 16, 2022 from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home, Haleyville. Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. with Andy Kizer officiating. Burial will follow in Winston Memorial Cemetery.
Ms. Mays is survived by her children, Roger Mays and Reba Mays Butler; sisters, Lottie Bea Hood and Francise Kelly; grandchildren, Tabitha Clark, Brandon Butler, Angelia Burcham, Amy Vandiver, James Dewayne Mays and Derek Mays; great grandchildren, Garrett Clark, Grant Clark, Gunter Clark, Joshua Burcham, Alaina Burcham, Patience Mays, Amber Lee Mays and Derek Mays, Jr.; and great grandchildren, Mazie Vandiver, Macon Vandiver, Josey Mays and Charlie Mays.
She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Mamie Burnett; husband, James Gravis Mays; siblings, G.T. Burnett, Sherman Burnett, Earnest Burnett, Clarence Burnett, Bertha Smith and Fay McCreless.
