Ruby Jo Ellen Gilbreath, age 86, of Sumiton, went to be with her Lord and Savior on May 6, 2021. She is preceded in death by her parents Samuel and Myrtie Odom; husband, William Gilbreath; sisters, Ruth Holloway, Zona Odom and brothers, Welford Odom and Henry Odom. Ruby Jo is survived by her brother, Walt Odom; daughters, Becky Ceravolo (J.C.), Cynthia Cissell, Tanyah Caverno and Donella Roberts (Charles); grandchildren, Justin Ceravolo (Miranda), Kristin Schifanella (Joe), Kali Ragsdale (Zach), Andrea Cissell, Alex Baker (Ashley), Ashley Tidwell (Larry Wayne), Sarah Caverno, Jonathon Roberts, Max Roberts and eight great-grandchildren. Ruby Jo was a wonderful, loving and faithful Mother. She was born and raised in Sumiton. She graduated from Dora High School in 1953. Ruby was a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, sewing, planting flowers and spending time with family and friends and Panama City, FL vacations. But, above all, Ruby Jo was a Christian who loved serving the Lord. Services will be Monday, May 10, 2021 at New Horizon Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral service will begin at 2pm. The family will receive guests for one hour prior to service time. Burial will be in New Horizon Memorial Gardens. Bishop Ricky Adams officiating.
