Ruby Jewel Austin, of Tuscumbia, passed away on Sunday, December 16, 2018 at the age of 75. Her visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. Her funeral service will be Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Brother Tim Griffin officiating. She will be buried in Vandiver Hollow Cemetery.
Ruby was a native of Sheffield and a member at Hook Street Baptist Church for 40 years.
She is survived by her son, Richard Austin (Jeri) of Tuscumbia; daughters, Tracy McDonald (Anthony) of Tuscumbia and Tina Power (Jeff) of Leighton; brother, Kenneth Hamm of Sheffield; 15 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Josh Austin, Tony McDonald, Jeffery Power, Johnathan Pace, Wes Stutts and Marlon Hamm.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Amedisys Hospice and Home Health and to Hook Street Baptist Church.
