Mrs. Ruby Jean Appleton, age 81 of Athens, AL passed away on Thursday, August 22, 2019 at Limestone Health Facility. Mrs. Appleton was born on August 16, 1938 in Limestone County to Thomas Taylor and Clara Swanner Taylor.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Monroe Appleton; son, Kevin Appleton; sister, Brenda Holcomb; brother, Franklin Taylor; son-in-law, Mike Wise and brother-in-law, Wayne Cleveland.
Mrs. Appleton is survived by her children, Deborah Dubois (Darryl), Ronnie Appleton (Regina), Cynthia Wise (Kenny) and Tanya Wallace (Bill); 15 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; brothers, Stanley Taylor (Connie) and Kenneth Taylor (Beverly); sisters, Marie Dean (Bobby) and Earline Cleveland.
Services for Mrs. Appleton will be at 11:00AM on Monday, August 26, 2019 at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Pat Lawrence officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00-9:00PM on Sunday, August 25, 2019 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Antioch Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Matthew Dubois, Brayden Dubois, Elon Wallace, Thomas Wallace, Kaleb Wallace, Joey Moss, Robby Grams and Ronnie Holt.
