Ruby Ivy Westcott – Obituary

Ruby Ivy Westcott, 84, passed away Thursday, November 27, 2014, at Santuary Hospice House with her three children by her side. She was born in Dennis, MS on April 19, 1930 to the late George Ivy and the late Leona Guntharp Ivy. She retired from Charm Step after many years of service. She was a member of Plainview Church of Christ. She was raised on a cotton farm and one of her greatest joys was to be out in the garden.

Survivors include her son, Danny (Rita) Taylor of Olive Branch, MS, Daughters: Pat Mongan of Saint Charles, IA, and Deonne Williams of Fulton; Grandsons: Donny (Tina) Taylor of LA, Jimmy Taylor of WY, Clint (Kelly) Mongan of IA, Josh (Sarah) Mongan of IA, B.J. Wiles of MS; Granddaughters: Michelle (Darrin) Miller of LA, Tammy Strickland of GA, Amanda (Terry) Case of MS, and Cristie Williams of MS; 24 Great Grandchildren, 2 Great Great-Grandchildren; Brothers: Maynard (Pat) Ivy, Shelby (Wilda) Ivy, and Harold (Carolyn) Ivy all of Fulton, Several Nieces and Nephews, and 2 beloved dogs: Trixie and Angel.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 42 years, John “Rocky” Westcott; Sisters: Allie Brown, and Essie Mae Gahagan, Brothers: Truman, Tulon, Chester, Clayton, and Gordon Ivy; Son-in-law, Michael Mongan

Pallbearers will be: Clint Mongan, Josh Mongan, B.J. Wiles, Lane Simmons, Hugh Ivy, and Jack Ivy.
