Ruby Imogene Armistead, age 74 of White House passed away Sunday, November 26, 2023 at NHC in Hendersonville. She was born June 23, 1949 in Nashville, TN to Claude Burton & Clara Ellen Cook Jarrett. She worked for Oscar Mayer before her retirement. She enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her family. Mrs. Ruby never met a stranger and was a people person. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jack Armistead; son, Matt Armistead; 5 brothers, Claude, Carl, Geroge Cary and Gary. She is survived by her son, Joe (Olivia) Armistead, Murfreesboro, TN; brothers, David “Hindu” Jarrett, Millersville, TN, Charles “BB” (Melissa) Jarrett, White House, TN and Tommy Jarrett, Houston, TX; sister, Alice (James) Pairs, Portland, TN; 2 grandchildren, Jonah Horton and Luka Armistead, Murfreesboro, TN. Funeral service is scheduled for Thursday, November 30, 2023 at 1pm in the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home in White House, with Daniel Williams and Joe Armistead officiating. Interment will follow in Dorris Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Visitation is planned for Wednesday, November 29, 2023 4-8PM and Thursday, November 30, 2023 10AM until the hour of the service at the funeral home.
