Ruby Hobbs TignerRuby Hobbs Tigner, 101, of Iuka, MS, died on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at Tishomingo Community Living Center. She enjoyed reading, quilting, and woring in the garden. Ruby knew every backroad in Tishomingo County from cruising around with her husband. She loved spending time with her family and was a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughter, Jean Fox; her grandchildren, Eric Fox and Laura Preston (Ned); her great-grandchildren, William Preston and Thomas Preston; her siblings, Talmadge Hobbs, Frances Barnes, and Teresa Roberts; her nieces and caregivers, Claudine Johnson and LInda Blackaby; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Tigner; her parents, Tom and Effie Wadkins Hobbs; her son-in-law, Bill Fox; and her siblings, James Hobbs, Aline Sanderson, and Dolly Dimple Kaufman. The family wishes to say a special “Thank you” to the workers at Gentiva Hospice and the staff at Tishomingo Community Living Center, along with her nieces, Claudine Johnson and Linda Blackaby. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with the arrangements. Visitation is scheduled for Friday, February 23, 2024, from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. A graveside service is scheduled for Friday, February 23, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. at Mt. Evergreen Cemetery. Burial will be in Mt. Evergreen Cemetery.
