Mrs. Ruby Gladys Curtis, 97, died Friday December 16, 2016 at her home with her family near. She was born in Tracy City on October 2, 1919 to Morgan Johnson and Beulah Carrick Johnson who preceded her in death along with her husband, Monroe H. Nunley; son, Monroe Nunley Jr; sister, Betty Sue Johnson; brothers, Elbert Loys, Bill, Barney, Jack and Wesley Johnson; grandson, Justin Curtis .
She is survived by her sons, John Bruce Curtis and James (Sharon) Curtis; daughters, Christine (Scotty) Layne, Kay (Harold) Layne and Jackie (Mike) Jordan; sisters, Mary “Duck” Nunley and Josephine Caldwell; 15 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren; 9 great great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday at the Fall Creek Cemetery with Gregory Curtis officiating and a poem by Shasta Jones. Visitation: 3:00 PM – 9:00 PM Monday at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, Tennessee. www.laynefuneralhome.com
