Central to Fay’s life was her role as a caregiver and matriarch. She took immense pride in preparing Sunday lunches and gathering her family around the table, a tradition that created lasting memories and deepened the bonds among her loved ones. Her passion for caring for her family was evident in every meal and every thoughtful gesture. Her love for her grandchildren was immense. Her whole world revolved around them.
Fay had a love of flowers and birds, spending hours enjoying their beauty and serenity. She was also fond of traveling, with Branson, Missouri holding a special place in her heart. Shopping trips with her sisters were beloved occasions, filled with laughter and companionship. Whether working on crosswords or jigsaw puzzles, Ruby found joy in quiet moments.
Fay is survived by her son, Lynn Crowley (Misty); granddaughter, Chelsea Crowley; grandson, Lyndon Crowley (Madison); great-grandsons, Bennett Crowley and Riggs Crowley; her sister, Beverly Bodiford; her brother, Wade Reid; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her two beloved husbands. She shared 31 wonderful years of marriage with her first love, Willard Lynn Crowley (m. 1963), and later found love again, sharing 27 cherished years with her second husband, Jimmy David Massengill (m. 1996).
She was also preceded in death by her father, Thomas Edward Reid; mother, Louella Dorene Reid; her brother, Tommy Reid (Evilee); her sister, Lou Antwine (James); sister-in-law, Jewel Reid; and nephews, Mike Bodiford, Randy Antwine, and Todd Reid.
