Ruby F. Irvin, age 87, of Dora, left this world peacefully as she went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jady and Ella Mae Mims and her husband James Cecil Irvin; seven brothers and seven sisters. Ruby is survived by her children Ken Irvin (Sheri), Karen Tucker (James) and Susan Crews; brother, J.D. Mims, Jr. (Barbara); grandchildren, Nick Irvin (Amanda), Chris Irvin (Deanna), Jennifer Tucker and Nathan Crews; great-grandchildren Knox Irvin, Norah Irvin, Eden Irvin, Jayden Irvin, Phoenix Irvin, Lyela Irvin and Allie Tucker as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family members. Ruby was a loving mother who had a very strong personality. She loved the Lord and lived her life looking toward eternity with her Savior. Ruby was a member of Grace Baptist Church, Sumiton. She was a fan of Alabama football and enjoyed spending time with her family. Services will be held at New Horizon Memorial Funeral Home on Friday, May 7, 2021. Funeral service will begin at 11am. The family will receive guest for one hour prior to service time. Bro Andy Frazier officiating.
