Ruby Elouise Heavner – Obituary

RED BAY, AL. – Ruby Elouise Heavner, 83, died Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at her residence. She was a native of Itawamba County, Ms., a homemaker and formerly a resident of Hammond. She attended Northside Baptist Church, Red Bay, Al.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, October 13, at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, Al. with Bro. Joey Watt and Bro. Billy Turbyfill officiating. Burial will be in Ridge Cemetery, Golden, Ms. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, Al. will be in charge of arrangements.

Survivors are nine children – Tony Heavner (Wendy) Brattleboro, Vt., John Heavner (Maureen) Winamac, In., Martha Watt (Joey) Peoria, Il., Michael Heavner (Sharon) Schererville, In., Margie Jackson (Bob) Hebron, In., Joe Heavner (Debi) Highland, In., Enoch Heavner (Diana) Valparaiso, In., Robert Heavner (Sandy) Hammond, In. and Edwin Heavner (Dawn) LaPorte, In.; one brother – J.W. Long (Mary Ann) Russellville, Al. and many beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a son, James Heavner.

Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be 1-3 p.m. Saturday, October 13, at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, Al.
