Ruby E. Tidwell – Obituary

The funeral for Ruby E. Tidwell, 90, will be today at Parkway Funeral Home at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Shane Williams officiating. Burial will be at Donald Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation was Friday, Nov. 6, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Ms. Tidwell, who died Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2015, at her residence, was born July 28, 1925 in Lawrence County to Jake Blaxton and Mary Letson Blaxton. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Town Creek. She was retired from Wayne Farm as an inspector. She was preceded in death by brother, Junior Blaxton; sisters, Reba Greene, Janice Kimbrell, Margret Heflin, and Eva Allen; father, Jake Blaxton; and mother Mary Letson Blaxton.
Survivors include sons, Jimmy Tidwell (Vicki) and Ricky Tidwell (Tammy); daughters, Sue Tidwell Ditto (Phillip), Brenda Tidwell Berryman (Jerry), and Robin Tidwell Cantrell (Jimmy); sisters, Jean Campbell and Beatrice Bumgard; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Vashon Tidwell, Justin Tidwell, Shane Berryman, Bailey Johnson, Chase Chapley, and Jason Cantrell.
