Ruby Colleen May Inman, 80, of Florence, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on March 25, 2013, after a long, hard battle with cancer. A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 28, 2013, at Pisgah Cemetery with Brother Eddie Wix officiating.
Born on January 17, 1933, she was a member of the Underwood Baptist Church and worked for many years at TeeJays in Florence. Being devoted to her family, she was a humble person who will be remembered as a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt.
Survivors include her son, Terry L. Inman, of Florence; daughters, Linda Johnson (Jim), of Elkmont, Pam Sanchez and Tricia Formby, both of Florence; granddaughter, Alissa Johnson, of New Orleans; grandsons, Phillip Johnson, of Elkmont, Owen Formby and Cody Sanchez, both of Florence; sisters, Juanita Keeler and Joyce Lisby (Ed), all of Florence; sister-in-law, Joyce May, of Florence; and 18 nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil T. and Daphne M. May; son, Jasper L. Inman Jr.; and brother, James V. May.
Pallbearers will be Terry L. Inman, Phillip Johnson, Owen Formby, Cody Sanchez, James McCreless, Mike Lisby, Terry Foster Jr., and Joe Murphy Jr.
We would like to thank Dr. Teresa Olson for her special care and kindness to our mother. Also, to Hospice of Tennessee Valley for their loving care, especially April, Tamekia, Sherry, Jeff and Brother Eddie.
