Ruby Arlene Martin, age 82 of Double Springs, passed away on March 11, 2013 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on March 3, 1931 in Franklin County, AL to Charlie and Maudie Harris Swims.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 13, 2013 from 6-9pm at Nichols Funeral Home in Double Springs, where services will be held on Thursday, March 14 at 11am. Pastor James Garrison will officiate. Burial will be in Popular Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
She is survived by her daughters, Cathy Kay Connell, Shirley Kay Garrison, Linda Gail Fike; sons, John Thomas Creel, Johnnie Ray Creel; brother, George Windell; sister, Truby Horton and her husband, Gathel; along with granddaughter, Machelle Farley and grandson, Jeffrey Martin, she was Maw Maw to 6 other grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and a host of family, friends, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Travis H. Martin; parents, Charlie and Maudie Swims; son, Donald H. Martin; daughter, Tressie Duboise; grandson, Justin Martin; brothers, Johnnie Swims, Murphy Swims, Orbie Swims; sisters, Wanda Garrison, Earlene Creel and Pearlene Swims.
