Ruben D Cutcher, age 92 of Gardendale, passed away Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at his residence. He was a World War II veteran, received a Purple Heart, and was retired from Chicago Bridge Iron and Steel Company.
Funeral service will be Friday, May 11, 2018 at 2:00 pm in the New Horizon Memorial Chapel. Rev. Calvin Armstrong and Rev. Louis Fortner will officiate. Burial will follow at Graham Cemetery in Mt. Olive. Visitation will be Friday from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Beverly June Cutcher; parents, Clarence and Hettie Cutcher; two brothers, Haron and Curtis Cutcher; and son, Peter Crittenden.
He is survived by his wife, Rosemary Cutcher; children, Judy Cordin (Marion), Delton Adcock (Robert Gene), Dee Cutcher(Tyra), Steven Cutcher (Nakia), Kathy Thomas Cork (Earl), and Victoria Armstrong (Chris); sister, Shelby Byars; fourteen grandchildren, twenty-eight great grandchildren, ten great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family and friends.
