Royce "Daddy Royce" RobertsRoyce “Daddy Royce” Roberts, 91, passed away Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at Diversicare of Amory, MS. Royce was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and was “Daddy Royce” to everyone that walked through the door.  He was drafted into the United States Army where he served in Alaska with Charlie Company 1st Battalion, 23rd Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division, with great distinction and was a great credit to himself, his unit, and the United States Army. He was honorably discharged after his service. He was a farmer, gardener, raised quail, a carpenter, a jack of all trades. If it could be done, he could do it. He loved eating his peas and cornbread sharing any leftovers with his chickens. Sitting on his back porch, chewing tobacco, and spending time with his children, grandchildren, and his great-grandchildren was what he enjoyed most.
Survivors include his daughter, Teresa McGreger (Terry); son, Randy Roberts (Marylyn); daughter, Tammy Morris (Bubba); and Cassidy and Adam Patton, grandchildren, Shane McGreger (Andrea), Ryan Roberts (Michelle), Reagan Roberts, Meagan Pennington (Jamie), Maegan Hamblin (Nathan), Dusty Foster (Amity), Andrew Morris (Meagan), Adrianna Fitts (Colin) Rhodes Roberts Patton, 29 great grandchildren; and his brother, Keith Roberts (Ann).
He was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Sue Roberts, his parents, Ed and Irene Roberts, son, Rodney Roberts; grandsons, Trevor McGreger and Ryder Roberts; 6 sisters, and 1 brother.
Service will be held Friday, June 27, 2025, at 4PM at Baldwin Memorial Funeral Home in Pontotoc with visitation beginning at 12PM. Dr. David Hamilton, Bro. Wayne Cobb, Bro. Jr. Ritchie, and Bro. Tommy Inmon will officiate. Burial will follow in Cooke Memorial Cemetery. Baldwin Memorial Funeral Home in Pontotoc is in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers will be Shane McGreger, Ryan Roberts, Reagan Roberts, Andrew Morris, Rhodes Roberts Patton, Dusty Foster, Nathan Hamblin, and Colin Fitts. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jaxon McGreger, Remington Roberts, Rylan Roberts, and Rayden Roberts.
