Roy Wesley Lutonsky
January 29, 1929 – November 25, 2020
Mr. Lutonsky passed away Wednesday, November 25, 2020, at the age of 91 years. He is survived by his wife Kathryn, daughter Rebecca, sons Kirk and his wife Jamie, two grandchildren, Emily and Tim, and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Anton and Hermina Lutonsky.
Roy was born and raised in Taylor, Texas, After serving in the U.S. Army he attended the University of Texas. He went on to further his education and received a master’s degree in engineering. He later went to work for NASA at the Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama. He is proud to have worked with the Von Braun team in the Apollo days. During his career Roy received many awards for his contributions. He retired from NASA at the age of 86 after 50 years of service.
Roy was a beloved husband and father and will be sorely missed.
The family will hold private services. Berryhill Funeral Home assisted the family.
