Roy Lee Johnson, age 69, of Florence, passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2015.
Visitation will be Thursday, June 4, 6-8 p.m. at Spry-Williams Funeral Home, Florence. The service will be Friday, June 5, 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, with Brother Keith Montgomery and Brother Kenneth Floyd officiating. Interment will be at Bethel Berry Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be nephews, Jimmy Johnson, Eric Johnson, Johnathan Johnson, Michael Johnson, Jeremy Johnson and Jamie Johnson.
Honorary pallbearers will be nephews, Len Johnson, Jason Johnson, Larry Johnson, Cody Oldham and longtime friends, Trigger Oakley, Dale Cochran, Richard Dial and Kenny Daniels.
Mr. Johnson was a native of Lauderdale County and was an avid fisherman. He was preceded in death by his parents, Turner and Willie T. Johnson, and brothers, Arthur, Gene, Coy and Jackie.
Survivors include, wife, Virginia O’Kelley Johnson; daughters, Denise Johnson Austin, Charlotte Johnson, Stricklin (Tommy Lee); stepdaughter, Suleen Williams (David); stepsons, David Ray (Charlotte), Tim Ray; special daughter, Fonda Frazier Stutts (Charles); mother of his two daughters, Patsy Harbin; brothers, Robert Johnson (Elizabeth), Danny Johnson; grandchildren, Brett Stricklin and Johnny Stricklin; great grandchild, Nicole Stricklin; numerous stepgrandchildren; stepgreat-grandchildren; and nephews and nieces.
