Roy L. Walling, age 82, passed away peacefully on Sunday September 20, 2026, at Generations Center of Spencer. Roy was born on September 26, 1943, to the late J.G. and Treva Clouse Walling. Roy enjoyed riding his lawn mower, visiting with friends, and, most of all, spending time with his grandchildren. He was of the Church of Christ faith.
In addition to his parents, Roy was preceded in death by his daughter, Janie Kay Wilson; brothers, Harold Dean Walling, Everette Walling, and Henry Earl Walling; and grandson, Kyle Wilson.
He is survived by his sisters, Maude Christian and Gaynell Meeks; granddaughter, Veronica Wilson; great-grandchildren, Alex Luckett, and Kaylynn Luckett. Several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and a host of friends.
Roy will be cremated, and a celebration of life will be held at Shockley Cemetery at a later date.
