Funeral for Roy Gordon McCurry, age 78 of Hartselle will be Tuesday September 24, 2013 at 11:00AM at Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home with Glen Smallwood officiating with Military Burial Honors in the Falkville City Cemetery in Falkville, AL. Visitation will be Monday from 6:00PM-8:00PM at the Funeral Home. Mr. McCurry was born March 30, 1935 in Etowah County, AL to Gordon D. McCurry and Nezzie Lane McCurry. He passed away Sunday September 22, 2013 at Veterans Administration Medical Center in Birmingham, AL. He was a Member of the Cross Baptist Church. Mr. McCurry served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He is survived by his wife, Shirley McCurry of Hartselle. 1 Son, Mike McCurry of Dallas, TX. 3 Daughters, Phyllis (Billy Lawrence of Jacksonville, FL. Cissy (George) Waddell of Hartselle. Connie (Kenny) Hall of Trinity, AL. 6 Grandchildren and 7 Great-Grandchildren. Friends will be Pallbears.
