Mr. Roy David Parker, Sr. age 85, of McMinnville, TN, died Thursday, November 17, 2022 at Alive Hospice in Nashville, TN. He was born on February 21, 1937 in McMinnville, TN, retired custodian from Cedar Grove Elementary School, former owner of Fresh Way Produce, a 32nd Degree Mason, a member of the Shrine, and was a member of Haywood Hills Baptist Church. Mr. Parker was preceded in death by his parents John A. and Frances Black Parker, wife of 66 years Betty Norris Parker who passed from this life 17 days before him, infant daughter Joyce Ann Parker, brother J. D. Parker, and sister Irene Parker Mayfield Patterson.
Survivors include his son Roy David Parker, Jr., daughters Carol Hollandsworth and Becky Hash, grandchildren Kayla Hash, Adam Hollandsworth, Emily (Duane) Wynn, and Sarah Parker, and great-granddaughter Elizabeth Wynn.
A memorial celebration of life service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, November 26, 2022 at Forest Park Baptist Church. Bro. Phillip Barnett will officiate. Burial has already occurred at Mt. View Cemetery. Visitation with the Parker family will be on Saturday, November 26, 2022 from 10:00 A.M. until service time at 11:00 A.M. at Forest Park Baptist Church, 140 Church Street, McMinnville, TN 37110.
