Mr. Roy Daniel Dobbins, age 53, of Skyline, passed away Friday, September 19, 2025 at Highlands Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, September 22, 2025 at New Life Baptist Church with Rev. Jeff Arnold and Rev. Mickey Skipper officiating. Pallbearers will be Nicholas Cornelison, Edgar Aguilar, Matthew Westlake, Jesse Potter, Porter Mitchem, and Josh Cotton. Burial will follow in Austell Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Sunday, September 21, 2025 at Scottsboro Funeral Home. The body will lie-in-state at the church on Monday from 10 a.m. until time of service.
Mr. Dobbins is survived by his wife, Angela Cornelison Dobbins; daughters, Ivey Danielle Dobbins (Matthew Swearengin), Kimberly Marie Dobbins (Josh Cotton), and Anita Jean Dobbins Hill (Buffalo); grandchildren, Dillon Tyler Cornelison, James Remington “Remi” Cornelison, Jacob Asher Stone, Aurora Raya Marie Cotton, and Chasity Faith Nicole Hill; 4 step grandsons, Elijah, Jackson, Mason, and Abel; parents, Harvey Dale Dobbins and Viola Juanita Dobbins; brothers, Rodger Dale Dobbins, Jeffery Scott Miller; sister, Vera Rena Hastings; 2 special daughters, Karissa Phillips, Adriane “Batman” Shelton (Sierra); special grandchildren, Lonnie Ray and Ashlyn “Sissy”; and a host of other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Coy & Vera Dobbins, James Willie Miller and Mary Pearl Miller; granddaughter, Madilyn Nicole Cornelison; and nephew, Zachary Tyler Cornelison.
