A Graveside Funeral service and Interment for Roy D. Hill, 70, will be Thursday, June 1, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Decatur City Cemetery with Pastor Jeremy Meetze officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 31, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home.
Mr. Hill passed away on Monday, May 29, 2023 at Decatur Morgan Hospital. He was born February 7, 1953, in Morgan County, to Lewis Wilburn Hill and Jessie Lee Griffith Hill, who preceded him in death. He was employed by the United States Postal Service, working as a mail carrier, Post Master and Inspector. He was a member of the Parkview Baptist Church and a member of the Lion’s Club (Scottsboro Chapter), he was on the Alabama Jubilee Committee and was a Decatur City Schools Crossing Guard. He also was a proud Veteran of the United States Army.
