Rosemary Parks Brown was born January 23, 1937 in Hardeman County, Tennessee to the late Fred and Ruth (Stinson) Parks. Rosemary was affectionately addressed as Rose or “Prim” by family and friends. She was the 2nd of four children. Her brothers, Joe David and Edward Parks and sister Lorene Lutter preceded her in death.
Rosemary accepted Christ at an early age at Bascom CME and later joined Lane Chapel CME in Humboldt, TN where she was a faithful member until her health declined. During her longstanding membership at Lane Chapel, she became a trustee and was an active member of stewardess and missionary boards.
Rosemary graduated high school with high honors in Alamo, TN and subsequently went on to become a true matriarch in love and provision for her family. She was a farmer’s wife, employed in private industry, an entrepreneur (mom and pop store-owner), worked in the insurance industry and in later years, folks remember her as a Walmart greeter.
She was proudly married 63 years to the love of her life, Robert H. Brown and four children were born to this union.
Her beautiful life will always be cherished by her loving husband, Robert H. Brown of Jackson TN; daughters; Beverly Brown Stewart (Willie) of Olive Branch MS, and Sharon R. Brown of Jackson TN, sons; Anthony R. Brown (Sonia) of Dallas TX and Darrin L. Brown of Snellville GA, grandsons; Harris D. Brown, Andre R. Brown and Devin M. Brown of Dallas TX, one aunt; Velma Achols of Humboldt TN, brothers-in-law; Harold Brown, Jesse Brown (Robbie), John Brown, Rudoil Brown (Yvonne), and Dave Lutter, sisters-in-law; Mary Glenn, Dollie Dingle (Raymond Sr.), Dora McCobb (Roger) Mildred Mann and Joyce Brown. Her in-laws were like blood sisters and brothers and the family would like to especially recognize her sister-in-law, Lucy Boykin, who was by her side to the very end. Also, to cherish her memory are a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
