Rose Smith Brown, 49, resident of Falkner, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on Wednesday, June 7, 2023 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. A private family service will be at a later date.
Rose was born August 6, 1973 in Ripley, the daughter of Shirley C. McMillin of Falkner and the late Daron Lee Smith. She received her education at Ripley High School and was employed as a Licensed Practicing Nurse with the Holly Springs Correctional Facility.
A Christian, Rose enjoyed arts, crafts, cooking, daily “soap operas” and listening to country music, especially her favorite artist, George Strait. She loved her family and every opportunity shared with her much adored granddaughters.
In addition to her mother, memories will be cherished by her daughter, Aubri Ana Hopkins (Taylor) of Victoria, one son, Josh Barkley (Melanie) of Toone, TN, one sister, Shelia Settlemires (Pearl) of Rienzi , one brother, Ricky Smith of Pearl and two granddaughters, Pazley Curtis and Penelope Palmatree.
