Rose Denemark Strobl – Obituary

Rose Denemark Strobl died on December 29th three days following her husband of 62 years, Frank Strobl of Tupelo, MS. Rose was born November 15th, 1933 in Chicago, Illinois and married Frank Strobl on May 29th 1954. She went to beauty culture school and had a beauty shop in her home for many years. While in Chicago, Rose was an all-around teacher of cosmetology at the Chicago School of Beauty Culture. After moving with Frank to Tupelo in 1974, Rose was a homemaker and mother of three children until McRae’s department store opened. She greatly enjoyed working for McRae’s in the China department over many years. She later retired and helped take care of her grandchildren whom she loved dearly. Rose enjoyed taking care of others and empowering women through her cosmetology craft.

Rose is survived by three children, Daniel Frank Strobl (deceased), Glen Strobl of Savannah, GA, and Cynthia Freeland of Oxford, MS. Rose has three grandchildren, Marissa Danielle Bryan, Catherine Alise Freeland, and Jason Hale Freeland and a great-grandchild, Tristan Xavier Bryan.

Funeral arrangements are being made by Lee Memorial Funeral Home and a graveside service for both Frank and Rose Strobl will be held on January 3rd 2017 at 2pm.
