Rose “Bonnie” Barnes, 70 of Athens, Alabama, passed away on July 15th, 2024. She was born in Manchester, Tennessee, on February 15th, 1954, to parents Delmar Haggard and Lorene Walden.
Mrs. Barnes is survived by her husband of 52 years, Bobby G. Barnes; 2 children Tonia Snyder (Oscar), & Gina James (Kevin); 5 grandchildren Nick Smith (Danielle), Hannah Brown (Josh), Ben James, Blake James, & Baily James; 2 great-grandchildren Caleb Brown & Noah Brown; and 1 sister Janie Morris (Eugene).
Rose is preceded in death by her parents, 7 brothers, and 2 sisters.
A visitation will be held at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home on July 16th, 2024, from 5pm to 8pm. The service will be at the same location on July 17th, 2024, at 2pm with Johnathan Ivy and Allen Sutton officiating. Her pallbearers will be Nick, Ben, Blake, Bubba, Keith, and Timbo. Burial will be at Lebanon Community Cemetery.
Bonnie was a member of Freedom Church. She adored her grandkids and loved flowers.
