Rosa Lee “Morning Dove” Mills, age 68, passed away Friday, April 4, 2025 at Huntsville Hospital. She was born October 3, 1956, in Steel Missouri to Billy Ray Venable and Pauline Woodruff Norris. Rosa was a beautiful soul full of creativity. She could most often be found bringing life to many things, such as crafts, quilts, and paintings. Rosa enjoyed gardening and tending to her plants. If you knew Rosa then you know what a caring mother she was to her children, family, and to all she knew. No services are being held at this time. She is survived by her son, Donald Shane Bates; daughter, Shavelia Lee Bates; granddaughters, Robin Brooke Milligan, Megan Rose Bates, Skylar Whitney Bates; great-granddaughters, Joshlynn Emily Rose Ergle, Dixie Anne Faith Ergle, Chloe Chrisha Rain Ergle; brother, Timmy Jackson; and sisters, Sheila Kay Watts, and Jackie Burage. Rosa was preceded in death by her parents, Billy Ray Venable and Pauline Woodruff Norris; and great-granddaughter, Brooklynn Lilly May Mcgough.
