Rooney loved to play bridge (especially if she had a good hand). She also was a longtime member of the Huntsville Antique Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond Currey Sr. and Violet Currey, her husband, William R. Weaver, and longtime companion, Jim Tillery. She is survived by her two sons, Keith Weaver (Carolyn) and John Weaver, (Lynda); six grandchildren, Anne Weaver (Dan Divis), Mary Carolyn Weaver Burrell (Garrett), Margaret Weaver Quinn (Lee), Currey Weaver, Allison Weaver, and Charlotte Weaver; four great-grandchildren; and loyal and devoted friends, Mrs. Jo Recio, Mrs. Harriet Bibb, and the Greenwyche coffee and swim crew.

Memorials may be made to Covenant Presbyterian Church or a favorite charity.
